Just as the human body cannot function properly unless the eyes, ears, and hands each do their part, so the Body of Christ--the Church--cannot function as God intended without each believer doing his or her part.

The purpose of Lay Ministries at CCWC is to place the right people in the right places for the right reasons. That is why we want to provide ways to inform and equip you to be involved in the Body of Ministry Opportunities within our church community.

In order to accomplish this, we have developed a class that meets to help discover in what ways God has "SHAPED" you to be in fruitful ministry for Him. Personal consultations are also available when the class is not in session. The SHAPE process has been created to assist you in the identification of your God-given passion, spiritual gifts and personal style, so that you can make your unique contribution in a meaningful place of service.

SHAPE offers a three step process to help you discover what you do best in the Body of Christ.

*SHAPE Discovery Classes*

What is my God-given shape? SHAPE discovery classes have been carefully designed to help you better understand who God has made you to be. Discover the purpose of the church and your unique role within it. With a simple approach and proven tools, these discovery sessions will guide you to a greater fulfillment of God's will for your life. Building upon a biblical foundation, practical insights are developed through teaching, interactive handouts and small group interaction.

You'll discover: Your God-given passion, which indicates where you should serve Your God-given spiritual gifts, which indicate what you should do Your God-given personal style, which indicates how you should serve, How your personal life experiences have helped to mold you for ministry. Together, they indicate your Servant Profile and what you do best in the Body of Christ!

Following the identification of your passion, spiritual gifts, and personal style and experiences (Servant Profile) through the SHAPE discovery sessions, you will have the opportunity to visit one on one with our Lay Ministry Director. She will assist you in connecting who God has made you to be with appropriate ministry needs and opportunities in the church or community. You can discuss the various ministries and learn about the many ministry positions available where you can serve. God has a plan for you!

Service: Making my unique contribution! At Christ Community Wesleyan Church, when you are ready to serve, we have many opportunities available in all of our ministries and outside the church via our OutReach Ministries Department.
