Missionary Support
Guidelines for Full-Time Support
The congregation of CCWC from the past to the present experience a continual increase of individuals who sense a call to mission work both in foreign and in home missions. These individuals because of relationships with people of the congregation or the influence of the ministry of the congregation look to CCWC for financial support. Since the continual increase of needs surpasses the present financial resources, the Local Board of Administration has set forth the following guidelines to be followed by the OutReach Team in developing the Faith Promise budget for each church year:

First, the OutReach Team will consider those individuals who have grown up in the local ministry of CCWC and presently hold membership in the Church and are in full-time mission work.

Second, the OutReach Team will consider those local residents who have come to know Christ through the ministry of CCWC and are now serving in full-time mission work.

Third, the OutReach Team will consider those individuals who are involved full-time in local home mission work with any evangelical campus ministry (ex. Campus Crusade for Christ, Navigators, etc.)

The following should be guidelines for these individuals:
1. Membership in CCWC
2. Regular attender of CCWC
3. Involved in CCWC church ministry.

Fourth, the OutReach Team should “always give a percentage of the undesignated Faith Promise for Wesleyan World Mission. This percentage can be designated for Wesleyan Mission, a Wesleyan Missionary Family, Wesleyan Native American Ministries, Hephzibah Childrens’ Home or special Wesleyan Project needs.

For those who are considering short-term missionary service (less than one year), the following explains the process to seek support from CCWC:

Please read the document Short Term Missions Giving for the kind of criteria we will be using to evaluate to support you through Faith Promise Giving.

IV. Personal Fund Raising
Those individuals who have applied for short-term missionary support may also do personal fund raising from the membership of CCWC by setting up a table in the narthex and talking with people about what God has called you to. This applies to those whom CCWC chooses to support and those who are not supported. In all cases, you must request permission from the OutReach Team prior to commencing personal fund raising activities in the facility of CCWC.
